Meet the Yoder Family

Philip and Daniel Yoder are the master craftsmen behind our custom cabinets and furniture. Their brother, Joe Yoder, manages our online presence and also lends a hand in the shop, helping bring your projects to life.

Family patriarch Roy Yoder built the original shop in 2002 with the help of his eight sons. Now semi-retired, Roy continues to share his expertise through sawmilling and mentoring the next generation.

Our Story

The Yoder family began by crafting dressers for a furniture factory. In 2008, they shifted their focus to designing and building their own line of ponderosa pine bedroom sets, dining sets, and custom furniture.

Thanks to Roy’s dedication and the skills he instilled in his sons, the family now creates everything from fully custom cabinetry to complete kitchen and dining sets.

Family Roles

• Philip – Specializes in custom cabinets

• Daniel – Focuses on custom furniture and assists with cabinet construction

• Joe – Oversees online operations and supports shop production

• Roy – Semi-retired, still actively involved in sawmilling

• Youngest son – A schoolteacher who helps in the shop when he’s not in the classroom

Y-Knot Furniture’s Signature

Our name, Y-Knot Furniture, is a nod to the “Yoder knot” and the beautiful, character-rich knots found in our wood. We perform our own sawmilling and source many of the trees used in our pine furniture. In addition to pine, we work with a variety of woods, including knotty alder, rustic hickory, cherry, and more.
